
Plum Drops 44 In Win Against Seattle University

SEATTLE -- Senior Kelsey Plum poured in 44 points, one shy of tying her career-high, to lead the University of Washington women's basketball team to a 94-64 win against Seattle University on Saturday (Nov. 26) at the Connolly Complex.
The Huskies' three seniors -- Plum, Chantel Osahor and Katie Collier -- accounted for 72 points and 28 rebounds to lead Washington to its 12th straight win over its crosstown rival.
Plum converted 15-of-23 shots, including 4-of-8 from behind the arc and was flawless from the charity stripe, sinking all 10. The nation's leading scorer has now scored 30 or more points in 24 games over the course of her career. This was her second 40-plus game as she scored a career-high 45 against Oklahoma as a sophomore. The point guard also pulled down a career-high nine rebounds tonight while handing out five assists.
The Huskies offensive dominance was on display again, as Washington scored 90-plus points for the fourth time in six games. The Huskies' presence was felt in the paint, where the team scored 48 points.
Osahor put up her fifth double-double of the season, which is tied for second-most in the NCAA, scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 boards. She also dished out five assists in the contest. Collier rounded out the double-digit scoring efforts with 10 points to go along with six rebounds.
Seattle U knocked down 8-of-13 three-pointers in the first half to stay within five points of the Huskies at the break. After the first 20 minutes saw 11 lead changes and three ties, Washington outscored the Redhawks, 49-24 in the second half to run-away with the 30-point win.
