Huskies Clinch Series Over Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Jadelyn Allchin hit the go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the seventh to secure the series win for No. 9 Washington (31-8, 12-5 Pac-12) in a 3-2 victory over the Beavers on Saturday night.
The Huskies brought in the first run of the game in the third. Rylee Holtorf led off the inning with her seventh double of the season, and second of the series. Holtorf advanced to third on a stolen base and was brought in on Baylee Klingler sac fly for the 1-0 advantage.
Oregon State plated a pair of runs in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead.
In the seventh, Kelley Lynch had a single to lead off the inning. Allchin came in to pinch hit with one out and smashed her third homer of the season out to center for the go-ahead runs.
Lynch came into the circle in the bottom of the inning. Oregon State loaded the bases with two outs, but an infield pop out ended the game for the 3-2 victory for the Huskies.
Ruby Meylan got the start and tossed 4.1 innings with five strikeouts. Lindsay Lopez picked up her eighth win after coming in relief. Lynch earned her first career save.
The Huskies and Beavers close out the series tomorrow at noon. The game will air on Oregon State Live Stream 3.
