
Huskies Open Four-Game Homestand Against Fresno State

SEATTLE -- The No. 13 University of Washington women's basketball team (7-1) returns home after three games on the road for a four-game homestand, hosting Fresno State (4-2) on Sunday (Dec. 4). The contest will be streamed on pac-12.com/live with radio coverage on gohuskies.leanplayer.com.
The Huskies went 3-0 in its three-game road trip, beating all three opponents by a margin of at least 30 points: Seattle U (94-64), Portland (83-53) and Grand Canyon (101-66). Washington hit the century mark for the fourth time this season against GCU, shooting a sizzling 60.0% from the field. Senior Chantel Osahor registered her seventh consecutive double-double in her hometown against the Lopes, going 9-of-10 from the field for a season-high 25 points to go along with 14 rebounds and six assists. The Phoenix, Ariz. native was a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the arc.
Against the Redhawks, Senior Kelsey Plum poured in 44 points, one shy of tying her career-high. She also pulled down a career-high nine rebounds. The next day against Portland, junior Natalie Romeo knocked down a season-high seven three-pointers while Osahor recorded 13 points and 17 rebounds.
Osahor garnered her first career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor on Nov. 28 after recording the first triple-double in program history in a 105-53 win against Idaho on Tuesday (Nov. 22). She finished the night with 11 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists, with the latter two being new career-highs.
Washington is leading the nation in several categories this season including 96 made three-pointers. The Huskies are 96-of-228 from three-point range, hitting at a .421 clip and all 12 players who have played this season have hit at least one. The UW's 12.0 three-pointers per game ranks third while the team's 90.4 points per game is fifth-most in the NCAA.
Plum and Osahor are leading the nation in scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 29.6 points per game while Osahor is averaging 14.0 rebounds per game. Osahor's seven double-doubles this season also tops the NCAA. The pair were both named to the 2017 Naismith Watchlist on Wednesday (Nov. 30) while Plum was also named to the watch list for the Wade Trophy on Thursday (Dec. 1).
The Huskies have hit or gone over the century mark four times this season. The only other season Washington reached 100 or more was in 1981-82 when that Husky team did it five times.
Washington moved up two more spots to No. 13 in the latest AP Top 25 poll. The Huskies started the season ranked No. 17, then jumped to No. 15 after the first week of play. Four other Pac-12 teams are also ranked: UCLA at No. 10, Stanford at No. 11, Colorado at No. 21 and Oregon State at No. 24. In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Huskies are also ranked No. 13.
