Huskies Drop Series Finale

CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 9 Washington (31-9, 12-6 Pac-12) fell in the series finale at Oregon State 11-1 in five on Sunday afternoon.
Oregon State took a 2-0 lead in the first off a two-run homer by Frankie Hammoude.
The Huskies were able to cut the OSU lead in half after Brooklyn Carter reached on an error and advanced to third on heads up base running. Baylee Klingler brought in Carter with a single through the left side.
The Beavers added eight runs in the third and one in the fourth for an 11-1 lead.
Up next, Washington hosts Utah for a three-game set beginning on Friday, April 21. On Sunday of the series, Washington will honor its eight seniors – Jadelyn Allchin, SilentRain Espinoza, Madison Huskey, Baylee Klingler, Kelley Lynch, Brooke Nelson, Sami Reynolds and Megan Vandegrift – postgame.
