Lynch, Meylan Combine For No-Hitter

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kelley Lynch and Ruby Meylan combined for the 49th no-hitter in program history as the No. 9 Huskies (30-8, 11-5 Pac-12) defeated Oregon State 2-0 on Friday night.
In the third, Baylee Klingler had a one-out single to bring Madison Huskey up to bat. Huskey hit her team-leading 11th home run of the season for the only runs of the game.
Kelley Lynch earned the win after tossing five innings with four strikeouts. Lynch allowed only three baserunners – all by walks. Ruby Meylan came in a earned her fifth save of the season after throwing the final three frames. The duo combined to retire the final 11 of 12 batters faced.
Meylan moves into a tie for fifth with Kaitlin Inglesby (2012) and Tia Bollinger (2003) in program history with five saves in a single season.
This is Lynch's second no-hitter this season after throwing one in Washington's 16-0 five inning victory over Bethune-Cookman at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. It is Meylan's first no-hitter.
The series continues on Saturday night with a 5 p.m. first pitch from Kelly Field. The game will air on the Oregon State Live Stream 3.
