
Williams Jr. Earns Big Ten Co-Offensive Player Of The Week Honors

SEATTLE – Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. has been honored as the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.
This is the second Big Ten weekly honor of Williams' career after being named Freshman of the Week on November 18, 2024. Washington has had a Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week in each week the Huskies have competed this season. Jonah Coleman earned the honor twice in Weeks 1 and 2.
In the Boeing Apple Cup at Washington State, Williams accounted for five touchdowns (four passing and one rushing) in the Huskies' win over the Cougars. The sophomore was 16-for-19 passing for 298 yards while also rushing for 88 yards. His 84.2% completion percentage in the game was ninth-best in a single game in program history. Williams also moved into the UW career Top 10 list for quarterback rushing yards with 502.
Nationally, Williams ranks in the Top 10 in completion percentage (73.5%), passing efficiency (198.8), passing yards per completion (15.56), total offense (332.7) and yards per pass attempt (11.44).
In addition to the Big Ten honor, Williams has also been named to the Davey O'Brien Great 8 list and a Manning Award Star of the Week.
The Huskies return to action hosting No. 1 Ohio State on September 27 at 12:30 p.m. PT at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. The game will air nationally on CBS.
