
Huskies Sweep Wisconsin

SEATTLE – Washington softball earned its first three-game Big Ten series sweep of the season in a 6-2 victory over Wisconsin on Sunday at Husky Softball Stadium.
Washington improves to 29-9 on the season and 7-2 in conference action.
Morgan Reimer made her 12th start of the season, going four innings with two runs, three hits allowed and four strikeouts.
Sophia Ramuno (7-3) came into the circle in relief to pick up her seventh win of the season. Ramuno struck out six batters, including the last five she faced, while surrendering only one hit and no walks allowed over her three innings of work.
For the third straight game, Wisconsin got on the board in first with a solo home run in the first inning. The Badgers added a run in the fourth on Hilary Blomberg's second home run of the game.
The Huskies responded in the fourth on a Giselle Alvarez two-run homer to tie the game, her fifth of the season.
Washington's bats came out in the fifth with three runs on four hits. A single by Jade Bubke and a double from Ava Carroll put runners at second and third. Alexis DeBoer sent a ball to center field to give the Dawgs the lead. Back-to-back doubles by Glab and Alycia Flores made it a 5-2 advantage.
The Dawgs added a run in the sixth on a single from Bubke to score pinch-runner Jing Gardner from third.
