Huskies Win In Extras

The Huskies improve its winning streak to seven games and move to 27-9, 5-2 Big Ten on the season.
Sophia Ramuno made her 12th start of the season, going five innings. She struck out seven with only one hits allowed. Morgan Reimer (13-4) earned her team-leading 13th win of the season coming on in relief. She has gotten the win in her last six appearances.
Wisconsin brought in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the fourth.
Washington answered back in the fifth. Gabi Toney reached and advanced to second on a throwing error. She advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Jade Bubke. A sac fly by Ava Carroll brought in Toney.

The game moved on to extras.
In the eighth, Wisconsin brought in the go-ahead run on a single by Molly Schlosser.
Down to their final three outs, Ava Carroll and Alexis DeBoer had back-to-back hits. Jadyn Glab followed with a walk to load the bases and no outs. Alycia Flores hit a sacrifice fly to left field to tie the game at two. The Huskies were unable to bring another run across.
Reimer and the Husky defense were able to get out of the jam in the ninth and 10th innings with the help of a double play and caught stealing.

Heading to the bottom of the 10th, Glab had a four-pitch walk (her second of the game) to get the first base runner of the inning. A single by Giselle Alvarez put runners at second and first with two outs for Sevaaetasi to hit the game-winning double.
