
Williams Jr. Added To Hispanic College Football Player Of The Year Watch List

SEATTLE – Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. has been added to the 2025 Hispanic College Football Player of the Year watch list.
This is the first season of the award, which is presented by the Hispanic Football Hall of Fame.
Through four games this season, Williams ranks fourth nationally in completion percentage (75.6%), fourth in yards per pass attempt (10.57), seventh in passing efficiency (186.3), 17th in passing yards per completion (13.99) and 25th in total offense (285.8).
Williams has thrown for 951 yards this season while rushing for 293. He was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week after leading UW to a 59-24 win at Washington State where he accounted for five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing). The sophomore was 16-for-19 passing for 298 yards while also rushing for 88 yards. His 84.2% completion percentage in the game was ninth-best in a single game in program history.
