UW Suffers First Road Loss Of 2025 At Michigan 24-7
October 18, 2025 | Football
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Washington and Michigan exchanged defensive stops for three quarters, but it was the Wolverines who ultimately prevailed 24-7 at Michigan Stadium on Saturday.
It was the first road loss of the season for Washington (5-2, 2-2) and the Huskies' second loss since falling to No. 1 Ohio State.
Jonah Coleman scored the lone touchdown for the Dawgs on a one-yard run, his NCAA-leading 12th rushing touchdown of the season. The score tied the game at 7-7.
Demond Williams Jr. connected with Denzel Boston on a 48-yard strike in the first quarter but the drive didn't result in points.
The Wolverines scored on the next possession before Coleman's touchdown evened the score.
He finished with 50 yards on 16 carries.
The Huskies' defense held strong for the better part of three quarters, stopping the Wolverines on 4th down for the second time late in the third.
Alex McLaughlin and Makell Esteen each had nine tackles to lead the Dawgs.
Turnovers doomed the UW offense from there and Michigan scored on three consecutive possessions to pull away.
The Huskies host Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium. Limited tickets remain. The kick-off time will be announced in the coming days.
