Summer Softball: More From Morganne Flores & Puerto Rico

This summer eight former, current and future Huskies are representing six different teams across the world. Today we hear again from catcher Morganne Flores as she and the Puerto Rican National Team wrapped up their time at World Cup of Softball XII with a sixth-place finish.

While reminiscing on the World Cup, my experience there has been a one to remember. This has been my first World Cup experience and I got to do it with the best coaches and girls I could ever ask for! I got to play the best players not only in the U.S., but in the entire world!
Playing Japan was probably my favorite game because you can tell how much passion and respect they have for the game. I always see them on TV and hear about them, but actually playing them was an experience to remember.
Playing teams all around the world was awesome, and I loved getting to meet new people from around the country. I am especially thankful to be apart of the Puerto Rican team because of the family atmosphere that was shown during the World Cup, and we competed our hearts out during every game. We just got to Surrey, BC, to play in the Canada Cup, and I can't wait for what's in store!
