The Cardinal hit a pair of three-pointers late in the third quarter before scoring the first five points of the fourth to pull even at 55-55 with nine minutes left. Stanford took its first lead since the first bucket of the game with 8:27 left before the teams exchanged the lead four more times into the closing minutes.
With the game locked 62-62, Plum drained her seventh three and Washington went ahead 66-62, but Stanford answered, scoring seven straight points, highlighted by a steal and layup for a 68-66 lead with 1:17 remaining. Stanford made 4-of-6 free throws in the closing minute.
