
No. 9 Washington Travels To Corvallis To Play No. 25 Oregon State

SEATTLE -- The No. 9 University of Washington women's basketball team (14-1) travels to Corvallis, Ore. to play No. 25 Oregon State on Sunday (Jan. 1). The game between two 2016 Final Four teams will air live on Pac-12 Networks at noon PT.
The Huskies are 2-0 in Pac-12 play, beating Washington State (94-63) at home and Oregon (99-77) on the road. Washington finished non-conference play with a program-best 12 wins and looks to extend an 11-game win streak. This will be the third ranked opponent the Huskies have faced this season.
For the first time in 18 years, Washington cracked the Top 10 in the regular season, checking in at No. 9 in the latest AP Top 25 poll. The Huskies are the highest ranked Pac-12 team, joining five others: UCLA at No. 10, Stanford at No. 14, Colorado at No. 15, Arizona State at No. 21 and Oregon State at No. 25. The last time Washington was ranked in the Top 10 during the regular season was in 1998, the same year all four of the Husky freshmen were born.
In the latest RPI, the Huskies are ranked No. 12. With its highest ranking since 2003-04, the Huskies were selected to finish third in the Pac-12, receiving two first-place votes and garnering 93 points.
Washington is leading the nation in several categories this season including 175 made three-pointers. The Huskies are 175-of-427 from three-point range, hitting at a .410 clip and 12 different players have hit at least one. Washington's 11.7 three-pointers per game and 90.9 points per game both rank third and its 30.7 scoring margin is fourth-best in the NCAA.
Kelsey Plum and Chantel Osahor are leading the nation in several categories, including scoring and rebounding, respectively. Plum is averaging 30.5 points per game while Osahor is averaging 13.8 rebounds. Osahor's 12 double-doubles is also the most in the NCAA while Plum's 102 made free throws, 151 field goals made and 458 total points leads the nation. The pair were both named to the 2017 Naismith Watchlist while Plum was also named to the watch list for the Wade Trophy.
The Huskies have hit or gone over the century mark five times this season, which ties a program record.
Washington has four players averaging double figures: Plum (30.5), Osahor (14.8), Natalie Romeo (10.9) and Aarion McDonald (10.0). Osahor is averaging a double-double with 13.8 boards per game. Plum leads the team with 86 assists (5.7 per game).
The Huskies are coming off a 99-77 win against Oregon on Friday (Dec. 30). Plum poured in 44 points and Osahor was one assist shy of a triple-double.
This was the third game this season the nation's leading scorer recorded 44. Plum was 14-of-23 from the floor, 13-of-15 from the foul line and 3-of-7 from behind the arc. Osahor registered her 12th double-double of the season, which leads the NCAA, and was just one assist shy of her second triple-double. The Phoenix, Ariz. native tallied 18 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.
Junior Heather Corral registered a career-high 19 points to round out the Huskies' double-digit scoring efforts. Corral was a perfect 5-of-5 from three-point range, knocking down four in the first quarter alone to help give Washington a 25-21 lead after the first frame.

Oregon State has won five of the last six meetings. Last season, the Huskies and Beavers met twice with the Beavers winning both games. In the regular season, OSU won in Seattle, 61-53 and in the Pac-12 Tournament, Washington lost by two, 57-55.
