Washington's win was its fifth-straight in a home opener, and its 26th in 32 home openers all-time. The Huskies last loss in a home opener was a 100-54 defeat to No. 1 UConn on Nov. 24, 2000, the inaugural game in Bank of America Arena.
The 63-56 win was the 600th in the history of the UW women's program. Other milestone wins:

Junior Cameo Hicks earned her second-career double-double with 21 points and a career-high 14 rebounds. Hicks' previous high for rebounds was 11 (at Oregon State, 2004), while her career-high for points is 24 (vs. Notre Dame, 2003).
Junior Cameo Hicks has scored in double figures in each of Washington's first three games this season, including back-to-back 21-point outputs. Hicks has now scored in double figures 15 times in her last 18 games, dating back to last season.
Junior Cameo Hicks is averaging 18.3 points per game so far in 2005-06, nearly nine points per game greater than her 2004-05 season-average.
Washington's defense has held its first three opponents to an average of just 59.0 points per game. None of the Huskies' first three opponents have managed to top the 70-point mark, with Florida State (69 points in a 71-69 UW win) the only team even to top 60.
Washington outrebounded the Utes by a 54-38 margin, including a 27-14 advantage in the second half. The Huskies are averaging 44.0 rebounds per game in 2005-06, up from 34.0 a year ago.
Sophomore Dominique Banks' eight rebounds were a career-high, besting her previous high of seven set vs. Stanford in 2005. Banks has 18 rebounds in three games this season for a 6.0 boards-per-game average that is exactly double her career average entering this season.
