SEATTLE - When the fifth-ranked Washington volleyball team hosts No. 4 USC this Friday night at Bank of America Arena, the Huskies will be looking to set a new single-game regular season attendance mark. The current record of 6,216 fans was set last season, when UW swept in-state rival Washington State on Oct. 13, 2006. The matchup with USC should provide plenty of action, as both teams have been ranked in the top-10 all season and have just a combined three losses between them.

Washington enters the match tied atop the Pac-10 standings with No. 3 Stanford, whom the Huskies defeated last week in Palo Alto, Calif., at 6-1 in conference play. Both teams are 17-1 overall. USC (16-2) sits one game back, tied with UCLA at 5-2 in the Pac-10.

The Huskies are led by a pair of seniors from nearby Puyallup, Wash. Outside hitters Stevie Mussie and Christal Morrison rank 1-2 on the team in kills and points per game. Mussie is averaging 4.49 kpg and 5.00 ppg, while Morrison, who is the reigning Pac-10 Player of the Year and a three-time All-American, is averaging 3.88 kpg and 4.65 ppg. Morrison earned Pac-10 Player of the Week honors for her play last week in helping Washington to a split against California and Stanford, both which were ranked in the top-10.

USC relies heavily on senior outside hitter Asia Kaczor, who earned second team All-American honors last year. So far this season, Kaczor is averaging 4.38 kpg, good for fourth in the Pac-10.

USC leads the all-time series 32-13, but Washington has won four of the past six meetings. Last year, the two team's split the season series, with each team winning at home. USC won in four games (28-30, 30-27, 30-21, 30-28) in Los Angeles, while the Huskies won in four games in Seattle (30-18, 30-25, 27-30, 30-21).
