Pac-12 Announces Expansive Volleyball Coverage
June 20, 2012
SEATTLE - The fledgling Pac-12 Network today announced its television schedule for this fall's women's volleyball season, with a whopping 82 matches scheduled for broadcast, including 14 Husky matches.
Washington will make its debut on the Pac-12 Network on Sept. 18, when Washington State visits Seattle for the conference opener for both teams at 7 p.m. Eight Husky home matches will be televised and fans will be able to better follow the Dawgs on the road with six Pac-12 road matches set for broadcast. Fans will also notice a much larger number of afternoon start times this year to accommodate the broadcast schedule.
The complete 2012 schedule for the Huskies is still being finalized and will be announced on GoHuskies.com as soon as it is available.
The 82-game television schedule is a 272 percent jump from the 22-game television appearances Pac-12 teams received in 2011. Leaning on the Pac-12's dominance in women's volleyball, the Network's television schedule primarily focuses on inter-conference play with each team making at least 12 appearances.
The Pac-12 Networks launch August 15 and will consist of one national and six regional networks devoted solely to the Pac-12. In addition to the hundreds of live televised Pac-12 sporting events, Pac-12 Networks subscribers will have access to their carrier's TV Everywhere platform, providing access to all Pac-12 Networks programming on any device through their broadband service. Fans can find out if they can get Pac-12 Networks by visiting www.Pac-12.org or by contacting their television provider.
