Seattle - The Washington Husky women's volleyball team will be honored on Sunday, Jan. 8 for winning the 2005 NCAA Women's Volleyball Championship. Fans are welcome to attend the national championship celebration with doors to Bank of America Arena opening at 2:30 p.m. and the program scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

The program will include remarks from several of the players, head coach Jim McLaughlin, University of Washington President Mark Emmert, Director of Athletics Todd Turner and other local and state officials, a video replay of the third game from Washington's three-set victory over Nebraska, and a presentation of the national championship trophy.

For one hour following the program, the players will sign autographs in the concourse. Players will sign only one item per fan due to the expected large crowd. Souvenir photo cards will be distributed to fans attending the event.
