Huskies Come From Behind, Beat ASU, 3-1

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Washington volleyball team came from behind to beat Arizona State, 3-1, Sunday at the Wells Fargo Arena in both teams final Pac-10 match of the year. Game scores were 10-15, 15-13, 15-13 and 15-8.
The match turned in game two. Down one game to none and behind 10-2 in the second game, the Huskies came back to out-score the Sun Devils, 13-3 to close out the game.
With the victory, the Huskies broke a three-game losing streak and improved to 8-14 overall and 7-11 in the Pac-10, good for seventh place. Arizona State, which was playing its final match of the year, finished in fifth place with a 11-14 overall mark and an 8-10 league mark.
Senior Leslie Tuiasosopo led the Huskies with 12 kills and nine blocks. Junior Kristina Laffling added 11 kills and 12 digs, while Emily Seacat, Allison Richardson and Lisa Underhill each had 10 kills. ASU was paced by 17 kills from Jami Coughlin and 15 more from Shawna Vanley.
The Huskies close out the 1998 season next Friday and Saturday against No. 5 Florida and unranked South Carolina at the Disney Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla.
