Volleyballers Fall to Arizona, 3-0
November 20, 1998 TUCSON, Ariz. - The Washington volleyball team began the final week of the conference season Friday with a 3-0 loss to 19th-ranked Arizona at McKale Center. Game scores were 15-4, 15-5 and 15-13. After struggling through games one and two, it looked as though the Huskies might suffer their worst loss of the season. In game three, however, the Huskies jumped to a 6-1 lead, and despite falling behind 11-8, had a 13-11 lead before falling, 15-13. The Huskies' 22 points over the three games marked their second-lowest output of the year. Washington fell to 7-14 overall and 6-11 in the Pac-10 with the loss. Arizona improved to 20-6, 11-6. Washington got 15 kills from Leslie Tuiasosopo, the only Husky to reach double figures in kills. Four Wildcats reached double-digits, led by Marisa DaLee's 14. Raelene Elam and Nicole McIntyre each had four service aces in the match.p The Huskies conclude the Pac-10 schedule Sunday at Arizona State.
