SEATTLE - Unranked Eastern Washington came from behind in games three and four to hand No. 23 Washington a 3-1 loss Friday at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in the second match of the TOTE Volleyball Invitational. Game scores were 15-3, 10-15, 15-9, 15-7.

The Huskies (0-3) remain in search of their first victory. They led 9-3 in game three and 7-3 in game four before giving up 12 unanswered points in each.

Kim Exner led EWU (4-0) with 23 kills and 15 digs. Lacey Coover added 19 kills in the win. Washington's Leslie Tuiasosopo had 17 kills and five blocks while Kristina Laffling added 15 kills and a match-high 17 digs.

In earlier action, British Columbia defeated Georgia, 15-4, 18-16, 15-7. As it was played against a foreign university, the match did not count against the Bulldogs' record. Sarah Maxwell and Barb Bellini each had 15 kills to lead UBC while Cathy Vis led Georgia with 12.

The TOTE Husky Volleyball Invitational continues Saturday. At 11:30 a.m., Washington takes on British Columbia while Georgia plays Eastern Washington at the same time in the Pavilion Addition. At 4:30, EWU and UBC square off and the tournament concludes at 7:00 p.m. with UW vs. Georgia.
