Born April 9, 1979 in Meridian, Miss. ... parents are Bonnie and Bryant Rogers ... mother is a teacher and father is an attorney... has two sisters, Rochelle and Kristina ... Rochelle played tennis at Colorado College ... geology major.

WASHINGTON
2000 (Junior): A tremendous natural athlete and one of the team's top defensive players, Thompson should once again be among several players competing for starting time at one of the swing hitter positions.

1999 (Sophomore): A part-time starter at one of the swing hitter spots, her recovery from off-season shoulder surgery limited her court time ... saw action in 51 of 90 games ... a strong all-around player, she posted solid numbers in several different statistics ... notched 15 digs in two straight matches, good for a career high ... first such match was at Arizona State ... the following week at Washington State, had 15 digs again to go with three assists and six blocks, both career highs ... had two double-digit kills matches ... first was Oct. 22 vs. Oregon State, when she posted 11 kills on 24 swings ... notched 12 kills to go with 14 digs and four blocks Nov. 5 vs. Arizona ... 1998 (RS-Freshman): A part-time starter at swing, played in 20 matches and 52 games ... posted double-digit kills four times ... top match in terms of kills was Nov. 8 at Oregon when she had 17 kills ... posted 16 kills and 14 digs (a season-high) against Arizona State on Sept. 18 ... hit 10-1-22 (.409) at Oregon State, when she also had 14 digs.

1997 (Freshman): Along with fellow freshman Lisa Underhill, red-shirted her first year at UW.

SANTE FE HIGH SCHOOL
Earned four varsity letters at Sante Fe High under coach Mike Thompson ... helped the Demons win the state championship her sophomore and senior years and finish second her junior season ... won numerous tournament MVP awards ... named state AAAA player of the year in 1996 ... recorded more than 800 kills during her high school career ... also played for the Albuquerque Junior Flamingoes, a club team, for coach Mark Swindle ... also an outstanding tennis player at Sante Fe, winning the AAAA state doubles championship as a junior and as a senior, and lettering five times (including as an eighth grader) ... tennis team MVP as a sophomore ... an honor roll student in each of her high school years.
