Born in Seattle, Washington but lived in the city for just a year ... parents are Andrea and Bob Beals ... has one younger sister, Erin, and one younger brother, Ryan ... her father, Bob, attended Washington State University and played rugby ... one of the top setter recruits in the nation, she led her Lake Travis High School team to a perfect 50-0 record in 2011, taking the Texas Class 4A state title for the second year in a row ... Lake Travis finished ranked as the No. 1 team nationally by PrepVolleyball.com in 2011, and the No. 2 team by the Xcellent 25 rankings as well as the Powerade Fab 50 ... the 50-0 squad lost just one set out of 128 played ... ranked the No. 22 prospect nationally in the PrepVolleyball.com Senior Aces, and ranked third among setters ... named to the 2012 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 ... earned Under Armour All-America First Team honors from the AVCA ... picked up ESPN HS First Team All-America honors in 2011, one of 15 players to earn the top honor ... also one of 12 players named a First Team All-American by MaxPreps.com ... an ESPN Rise Top-25 Player to Watch in 2010 ...
