When Washington head coach Patty McCain
looks at the opening of the 2003-2004 women ’s
tennis season,she sees a team that culminated
the previous year with its highest final ranking
in school history.But looking a little closer,
missing from the roster are names such as Erin
Boisclair,Darija Klaic and Colleen Gray – three
of six seniors who graduated last year and
helped put the Husky name on the map as far as
collegiate tennis goes...
One For The Record Books: The 2003 season
saw the Washington women ’s tennis team finish
the year with its highest final national ranking in
the program ’s history.The Huskies opened the
year at No.21 and moved up to No.6 by season ’s
end.Washington also racked up an overall record
of 19-4,the second-most wins under head coach
Patty McCain and the third-highest win total in
school history...
