SEATTLE - Freshman Grace Ysidora from the women's tennis team has been named the GoHuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 4. The Jakarta, Indonesia native had a strong showing at the UTSA Collegiate Invitational in Portland, Ore., over the weekend. On day one, she teamed up in doubles with Elianne Douglas-Miron to defeat Urbina-Mamalat of Texas A&M 8-4. She picked up a huge singles win on day two with a 6-4, 6-3 upset over No. 27 Marianne Jodoin of Duke. Then in group A of the knockout round she defeated Mackenzie Craft of Georgia, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Other nominees include: Varsity 8 (men's crew), Bishop Sankey (football), Cheng-Tsung Pan (men's golf), Spencer Richey (men's soccer), Kari Davidson (women's soccer), Marton Bots (men's tennis), Varsity 8 (women's crew) and Jenna Orlandini (volleyball).
