SEATTLE - For the third straight year, Washington women's tennis player junior Kristina Kraszewski has been selected to compete at the NCAA Tennis Championships held at Pepperdine University on May 22-26. Kraszewski is ranked 4th in the nation and owns a 28-9 overall record. This is only the third NCAA invitation for women's singles in Husky history. Kraszewski will play 68th-ranked junior Andrea Ondrisova of Virginia Commonwealth University. Ondrisova posts an overall record of 24-10.

Last year Kraszewski, then-ranked 18th in the nation, fell to Delphine Troch in the first round of the NCAA Singles Championships at the University of Florida. Kraszewski lost in straight sets 5-7, 2-6 and finished the season with a 24-13 record. Kraszewski and then freshman Ilona Kordonskaya also received a bid to compete in the doubles part of the NCAA Tennis Championships. They became only the third doubles team to be selected in Husky history. The 23rd-ranked duo fell to New Mexico's Friganovic and Shortall in the first round, 7-5, 4-6, 4-6.

As a freshman, Kraszewski, then-ranked 26th in the nation, fell to 13th-ranked Zuzana Lesnarova of San Diego in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championships at Notre Dame. Kraszewski lost in 6-2, 7-6 (6) and finished the season with a 31-9 overall record. By virtue of reaching the third round of the NCAA Championships, Kraszewski became the first Husky to be named an All-American. All players who reach the final 16 of the singles competition are named All-Americans.
