Washington takes a 6-1 record to the South to face the top-ranked opponents. The Dawgs are coming off back-to-back wins over San Diego State and Saint Mary's, after suffering its only loss the year to No. 2 UCLA. This will be the seventh and eighth straight road matches for UW who will finally return home following this weekend.

The Dawgs are led by Grace Ysidora who is 3-4 so far this year playing at No. 1 singles. She fell out of the ITA singles rankings, but still has had an impressive freshman season. Julija Lukac has the best overall record in dual play for the Dawgs as she has gone 6-1 playing at No. 4 singles.

Washington has also played strong doubles with the team of Elianne Douglas-Miron and Riko Shimizu going 6-1 at No.1. In addition, the team of Ysidora and Natali Coronel is 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.

Alabama enters Friday's match with a record of 6-1 with its lone loss coming at ITA National Team Indoors to No. 14 Northwestern. The Crimson Tide has four ranked singles players, including No. 20 Mary Anne Macfarlane and No. 22 Alexa Guarachi. In addition, Alabama has Maya Jansen who is ranked 69th and Natalia Maynetto who is ranked 89th.

Ole Miss is just 1-2, but has faced a tough early schedule. The Rebels are led by Caroline Rohde-Moe who is ranked No. 27 in singles.

The Dawgs are 1-0 all-time against both Alabama and Ole Miss.

Following this weekend's matches, the Husky women finally return home. The Dawgs face Portland on March 1 at 1:30 p.m., followed by Iowa State on March 3 at 11 a.m.

Go Huskies!
