Women's Tennis Climbs Up to No. 21 In The Latest WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings

SEATTLE - The Washington women's tennis team moved up to No. 21 in the WingspanBank.com Collegiate Tennis Rankings. The 3-2 Huskies head to the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The nation's premier women's team indoor event will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin at the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Stadium starting this Thursday, Feb. 15 and will rap up on Sunday, Feb. 18.
The Huskies feature four singles players in the rankings as well as one doubles team. Senior Kristina Kraszewski shot up to No. 24 in the latest poll. She was previously ranked No. 78. Freshman Claire Carter made her debut at No. 51. Carter, a native of Nottingham, England, has tallied a10-3 overall record thus far. Sophomore Darija Klaic fell to No. 75, while freshman Erin Hoe dropped to No. 66.
Doubles tandem Klaic and Kraszewski appeared at No. 26. The duo has racked up a 9-5 overall record
The Husky netters will return home on Friday, Feb. 23 for a three-day home stint as they take on Texas El-Paso, UC-Irvine, and Utah. Matches are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center.
