More great pitching, stellar defense and clutch hitting helped the No. 11 Huskies clinch the first spot to the WCWS in 2013 with a 1-0 win over No. 6 Missouri (38-14) on Friday night in Columbia, Mo.
With outstanding pitching from juniors Kaitlin Inglesby and Bryana Walker the No. 11 Huskies took game one of Super Regionals at No. 6 Missouri on Thursday night live on ESPN, 2-1.
The Huskies will now head to the Super Regionals for the ninth-straight year (since the tournament format changed in 2005) and look for their 11th trip to the Women's College World Series and first since 2010.
Cheng-Tsung Pan from the men's golf team and Bryana Walker from the softball team have been named Co-GoHuskies.com Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of May 13-19.
