July 14, 2000 SEATTLE - The USA Softball womens national team will make Seattle one of its 31 stops across America in preparation for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. The squad, which won the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Games, will play an exhibition game at Husky Softball Stadium on July 16 against players from the Womens Pro Softball Leagues Akron Racers. The game will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for reserved seats, general admission seating is $10 for adults and $8 for children.
On Saturday, the USA Softball team will hold a clinic at Husky Softball Stadium from 4-6 p.m. Registration is only on-site and costs $45, and participants should bring a bat, glove, ball and cleats if possible. |
