June 9, 2000 SEATTLE - Jennifer Spediacci, Washington's wins and strikeouts record holder, earned a spot on the GTE Academic All-America second team this year, posting a 3.22 GPA in business while breaking numerous records in the pitcher's circle. Spediacci was one of 22 athletes named to the second team. Eleven were named first team. It was the second such award for UW, Michelle Church also was named to the second team in 1996. |
