UW's Jamie Graves Earns Pac-10 Pitcher Of The Week Honors
May 15, 2000 WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington's Jamie Graves earned Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this year for her performances last weekend against UCLA and Oregon State. Graves went 2-0 and posted a 0.54 ERA in 13.0 innings of play. Her 10 strikeouts helped UW down No. 3 UCLA on the road. She retired 16 Bruins in a row and retired 21 of the last 24 she faced. Graves also downed No. 13 Oregon State with five strikeouts and just two hits in six innings. For the week, batters hit just .130 against her. She now stands at 25-3 with a 0.61 ERA. Earlier this year Graves also earned Pac-10 Player of the Week. She now has earned a Pac-10 weekly honor five times in her career. |
