Inglesby Earns Pac-12 Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington sophomore pitcher/designated player Kaitlin Inglesby was named Pac-12 Softball Player of the Week, for March 6-18, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday. Inglesby led the Huskies to a perfect 4-0 record at the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, Calif., as UW improved to 27-1 on the season. At the plate, Inglesby hit .692 with four runs, nine hits, three doubles, one home run and nine RBI. She finished the weekend with a 1.154 slugging percentage, a .692 on-base percentage and no strikeouts. She had at least one hit and two RBI in each game. Inglesby tallied three hits and three RBI against No. 24/25 DePaul on Friday. She was just as impressive in the circle, going 2-0 with a save in three appearances. She had two complete games with a 0.68 ERA in 10.1 innings pitched. This is the third weekly honor for Inglesby, but first as a player, and Washington's 84th all-time. Utah senior pitcher Generra Nielson was named Pac-12 Softball Pitcher of the Week. |
