SEATTLE - Sophomore pitcher Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.) was named the GoHuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb 20-26.

The UW softball player helped the Huskies to a 4-1 record on the weekend against five top 25 teams at the Cathedral City Classic in Cathedral City, Calif.

Inglesby went 3-0 in the circle handing No. 1 Florida its first loss of the season in a 5-2 victory. She also picked up an 8-2 victory over No. 16 Texas A&M and her second win of the year over No. 22 Nebraska, 6-3.

Against the No. 1 Gators, Inglesby allowed just two earned runs in 7.0 innings with five strikeouts. She also had an RBI at the plate.

In game two on the weekend vs. No. 16 Texas A&M, Inglesby allowed two earned runs with five more strikeouts and had two hits an RBI and a walk.

In the final game vs. No. 22 Nebraska, Inglesby allowed just one earned run with a season-best six strikeouts. It was her second win on the season vs. the Huskers.

Inglesby batted in the other two games as the weekend as the designated player vs. No. 11 Missouri and No. 13 Georgia. Against the Bulldogs, she had two hits and three RBI.

On the year, Inglesby is now 8-0 in the circle and 4-0 against ranked teams.
