Walker Named GoHuskies.com SAOTW

SEATTLE -Junior Bryana Walker from the softball team has been named the GoHuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 18-24.
Walker had an outstanding weekend in the circle as the Huskies went a perfect 4-0 for the first time on the season and has won five games in a row.
Walker was pitching in front of family and friends just outside of her home town, La Quinta, Calif., in nearby Cathedral City as a part of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
She went 3-0 on the weekend in 21.0 innings and allowed just one earned run and one walk with 28 strikeouts and a 0.43 ERA with wins over Virginia, No. 23/23 Florida State and No. 13/16 Georgia.
In the first game against Virginia she allowed just one earned run with a career-high 12 strikeouts. In the 2-0 shutout vs. FSU she allowed just three hits and had eight strikeouts.
Washington handed Georgia its third-straight loss and defeated its highest ranked team of the season. In the complete game she allowed just four hits and no earned runs while striking out eight.
