Huskies Get 16 Runs In Victory

SEATTLE - The UW softball team continued its winning ways in the Husky Fall Classic, defeating Bellevue College 16-1 in a five-inning game Saturday afternoon at Husky Softball Stadium. Junior Jenna Clifton (Glendale, Ariz.) started the game in the circle, pitching three innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out three. Sophomore Baily Harris (Longview, Wash.) finished the game, pitching 2.0 innings and striking out four. The Huskies had 12 hits and held Bellevue to just four. A bases-clearing double by freshman Whitney Jones (Upland, Calif.) and a two-run Home run by senior Morgan Stuart (Riverside, Calif.) highlighted a 12-run third inning in which 15 Huskies batted. Sophomore Hooch Fagaly (Chino, Calif.) and Stuart led the way with two hits and three RBI's each. Clifton also had two hits in the game. Sophomore Maggie Wagner (Woodinville, Calif.) scored a team-high three runs.
