BOISE, Idaho - After the annual scrimmage in Selah, Wash., last weekend, the Huskies traveled down to Boise, Idaho for a fall game against the Broncos at Mountain Cove Softball Field. UW got the win, 5-2.

Sophomore Whitney Jones (Upland, Calif.) got the win in the circle, pitching 1.2 innings. Fellow sophomore Kaitlin Inglesby (Portland, Ore.), got the save with three strikeouts. Freshman pitcher Kasey Stanchek (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) got the start, going 2.1 innings with two strikeouts.

At the plate for UW, Senior Kimi Pohlman (Sammamish, Wash.) scored a run and stole a base. Inglesby and freshman Kim Souza (Waialua, Hawai'i) each had RBI's. Sophomore Victoria Hayward (Mountain View, Calif.) scored a run and also had a stolen base and walked once.

"It was a good game," said head coach Heather Tarr. "Three of our pitchers threw and we got a good outing out of Kasey with two scoreless innings. Offensively we saw some things we wanted to see. Overall, the trip to Idaho was well worth it."

UW returns to Seattle on Thursday and will host the Husky Fall Classic, Oct. 7-9.
