Huskies Pick Up Two Wins, Inglesby Throws No Hitter

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - With an 11-0 win over Brown and a 6-3 win over Bradley, the Huskies improved to a 12-5 record. Game One - No. 18 UW 11, Brown 0 (5) UW extended its winning streak to six games with the win and only allowed three runs during that streak. The Huskies got their bats going in the first inning, scoring three runs. Kylee Lahners, Inglesby and Kimberlee Souza all had doubles to drive in the first three runs. In the third inning, Hooch Fagaly, Lahners, and Souza walked the bases loaded. Kelli Suguro then hit a three-RBI triple to put the Huskies in a commanding 6-0 lead. Inglesby capped off her monster game with a three-run home run in the fourth. She ended the day batting 2-for-3 with four RBIs. She also scored twice. The game ended in five innings after the Huskies scored five runs in the fourth inning to cap the 11-0 win. Game Two - No. 18 UW 6, Bradley 3 The second inning was a good one for both UW and Bradley. The Huskies started the inning off with a Fagaly walk and a Lahners single. Shawna Wright then singled to right field, which scored Fagaly. Lahners stole home quickly after. The third run came when Missy Taukeiaho doubled to left, scoring Wright. Bradley responded with two runs in the second to cut the Huskies lead down to one. Made Lynch-Comrine then led off the fourth with a solo home run for Bradley to tie the game at 3-3. |
