2009 (As A Freshman)
Named to the Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team... Also named First Team All-Region and Second Team All-Pac-10 along with being named to the Pac-10 All-Freshmen Team... Finished second on the team with a .360 average... Also batted an impressive .361 in Pac-10 games, which ranked eighth in the conference and was tops among all rookies... Hit .375 at the Women's College World Series with a team-high six runs scored... Overall in the postseason, batted .350 with 10 runs, one double and one RBI while stealing three bases... Appeared in 62 of 63 games, making 56 starts...Second on the team with 33 runs scored, 64 hits and 20 stolen bases... Also had five doubles, one triple and three home runs... Drove in 23 runs, good for seventh on the squad... Was not caught stealing in her first 20 career stolen base attempts until she was thrown out in the WCWS... Her 20 steals ranked sixth in the conference... Tied for the team lead with six sacrifices... Had 16 multi-hit games on the season, good for third on the team... Registered a pair of nine-game hitting streaks during the season and ended the season on an eight-game streak... Tied for the team lead with 11 RBI in Pac-10 games... Second with 22 hits, 12 runs and nine stolen bases in conference play... Her nine steals in Pac-10 games ranked third in the conference... Started her World Series career with a 2-for-4 game with an RBI and a stolen base in UW's opening 3-1 win over Georgia... Followed that up with a 3-for-4 effort with double and a run scored in a 1-0 win over Arizona State... Singled and scored twice in UW's 9-3 semifinal win over Georgia... Also scored twice in the World Series-clinching 3-2 win over Florida... Hit .429 in the Super Regionals against Georgia Tech, getting three hits in seven at-bats while scoring two runs... As she did all season, showed no signs of rookie nerves in her first career NCAA Tournament game, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base in UW's 9-1 win over Sacred Heart... Also stole a base as a pinch-runner in the 15-inning marathon win over UMass to clinch the Regional Championships... Hit .364 (4x11) against UCLA and the Oregon schools late in the season with four runs and five RBI and a couple of clutch hits... Had the game-winning three-run double in UW's 3-0 win over UCLA (4/29), handing Megan Langenfeld her first loss of the season... The next day with UW trailing 2-0 against Oregon State, led off the fourth inning with her third home run of the season - and first-ever at home - to start a three-run rally which led UW to a 5-2 win... Went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI in an 11-0 win over Oregon the following day to extend her hitting streak to a career-high tying nine games... Hit .480 during the stretch (12x25)... Hit .444 (4x9) in the series at Arizona... Highlight of the weekend was a 2-for-4 game with a run and two RBI along with a stolen base in a 4-1 win over Arizona (4/25)... Had a key two-run double late in the game to secure the lead... Hit .500 in a three-game sweep of the Arizona schools, going 5-for-10 with two runs and three stolen bases... Had a career game against No. 4 Arizona State in an 11-3 win (4/4), tying a career-high with three hits and setting new career highs with two runs and three stolen bases... Went 3-for-3 at the plate... Had two hits in her first career Pac-10 game, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in UW's 9-1 win over Cal (3/27)... The performance extended her hitting streak to a career-high nine games... Batted .400 in the Judi Garman Classic, going 6-for-15 with a run scored and two RBI... Started all five games in the Easton SEC/Pac-10/Big Challenge, batting .353 (6x17) with a run scored.... Had her first career three-hit game vs. No. 24 Baylor (3/6), going 3-for-4 against freshman phenom Whitney Canion... Recorded her second multi-hit game of the weekend against No. 1/3 Alabama, going 2-for-4 against All-American Charlotte Morgan with her first career triple... Batted .500 (4x8) in the Husky Softball Classic with a double, home run and two stolen bases... Went 2-for-2 with a run and two RBI against Portland State (2/28)... Followed Felecia Harris' grand slam with a home run of her own to give UW its first back-to-back home runs of the season... Started four of the five games in the Cathedral City Classic, batting .357 (5x14) with a run and three RBI... Drove in the winning run in UW's 1-0 nine-inning victory over then-No.2 Florida... Had a memorable game against Utah State (2/13) in the Campbell Cartier Classic, going 2-for-3 with a run and five RBI including her first career home run, which was a grand slam... Appeared in four games over the opening weekend and made two starts... Collected two hits and stole two bases while scoring two runs... Notched her first career hit against Southern Utah (2/7) and promptly stole her first base.
High School/Club
Three-sport standout athlete in soccer, basketball, and track and field for The Bear Creek Grizzlies ... High school did not offer softball ... Played softball her senior year at Eastlake High School... Excelled on the diamond as a member of the Washington Ladyhawks Gold club team ... Helped the Ladyhawks place 13th at the 2006 18U Gold Nationals, and 13th at the 2005 ASA 18U Gold Nationals ... Was recruited by some of the nation's top NCAA Division I softball programs, including California, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State, Mississippi State and Tennessee ... A two-time Washington Class 2B State Champion in the 100-meter dash in track and field ... Named first team all-state in soccer twice as well as a first team all-league soccer player three times.

Parents are Steve and Becky Pohlman... Has an older sister, Dani (21)... Kimberly Cheyne Pohlman was born in Bellevue, Wash.
