Watching him swim in the Beijing Olympics to win seven goal medals was inspiring. I have a lot of respect for him and his ambition to be the best he can be" ... most admires her mom because "She has been my biggest fan since I started playing softball and my dad has taught me the competitive spirit and drive to chase my dreams. I wouldn't be here without their constant support and teaching me to follow my heart."
Coach Tarr on Inglesby
"Kaitlin Inglesby is a strong, versatile athlete who can pitch, hit and play first base. We expect her to make an immediate impact in our program in the circle and with her bat."
Inglesby on Why Washington
"I chose the University of Washington because I love the family, community and team atmosphere. I fell in love with the campus, the location of the university on the water and the city of Seattle. To be able to play at a Pac-10 school so close to home is incredible. I wanted to play and represent a top program on and off the field. Washington has an amazing student-athlete support system, which is an awesome advantage. The fact that the University has one of the best programs for my major (Speech and Hearing Sciences) and has one of the best Audiology graduate programs in the country was the frosting on the cake. I can't wait to be a Husky."
Inglesby on the best part of her recruiting trip
"My favorite part about my official visit in October was bonding with the team, trying on the uniforms and going to the football game. It was so much fun hanging out with the girls. They made me feel like I was already a part of the team and family."
