Hope Solo dancing during week seven.

Nov. 7, 2011

SEATTLE - Former Husky All-American Hope Solo easily avoided elimination last week on Dancing with the Stars. Solo and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, redeemed themselves on Halloween night, scoring 24 points from the judges Monday. The pair danced a samba to Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London."

On Week 8, the five remaining dancing couples will tackle two dances, a prepared dance and an "Instant Jive", where each pair will pick a song out of a hat and have only until later in the show to put together their performance. Solo and Chmerkovskiy will dance a quickstep to Mark Ronson's "Valerie."

Actor David Arquette and partner Kym Johnson were sent packing last week, despite scoring 24 points from the judges. They now join activist Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer, reality TV personality Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya, singer Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani, reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovskiy, and NBA star Ron Artest and Peta Mugatroyd.

To vote for team `MakSolo', fans can call the toll-free number 1-800-868-3408, text "VOTE" to the same number (for AT&T customers only), or go on-line to abc.com and register to vote. The phone and text number will remain the same throughout the season. Fans can start voting multiple times during and immediately after each performance show. Phone and text lines will stay open until 30 minutes after the end of the show. Online voting will continue to be open until 8 a.m. PT the following day, when the DWTS Results Show will air (Tuesdays at 9/8C) and the couple with the lowest combined score from judges and viewer votes will be eliminated from the competition.

Go Huskies!
