Solo Will Rumba For Broadway Night on DWTS
Hope Solo in Week 3.

Hope Solo in Week 3.

Oct. 24, 2011

SEATTLE - Former UW Husky and World Cup soccer goalie Hope Solo survived yet another scare last week on "Dancing with the Stars." Solo and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, danced the tango to the popular Bon Jovi song "Livin' on a Prayer" for the `80s week theme.

Despite ending up in the bottom three for the second time in three weeks, the combined total of 24 points from the judges and viewers' votes were enough to pass them through to Week 6. The pair will dance the Rumba to a famous show tune from Rent for the Broadway theme. Viewers can follow all the action along on Twitter with #maksolo to support the pair tonight at 8/7C on ABC.

Reality TV personality Carson Kressley and his partner, Anna Trebunskaya, were eliminated by a combination of judges' scores and viewers' votes. They now join singer Chynna Phillips and dancing partner Tony Dovolani, reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovskiy, and NBA star Ron Artest and Peta Mugatroyd.

To vote for team `MakSolo', fans can call the toll-free number 1-800-868-3408, text "VOTE" to the same number (for AT&T customers only), or go on-line to abc.com and register to vote. The phone and text number will remain the same throughout the season. Fans can start voting multiple times during and immediately after each performance show. Phone and text lines will stay open until 30 minutes after the end of the show. Online voting will continue to be open until 8 a.m. PT the following day, when the DWTS Results Show will air (Tuesdays at 8/7C) and the couple with the lowest combined score from judges and viewer votes will be eliminated from the competition.

Go Huskies!
