SEATTLE - The Washington women's soccer team has just one match this week, but it's a big one. The Huskies welcome No. 3 and undefeated UCLA to Husky Soccer Field on Friday at 7 p.m.

The women's team will look to copy what the UW men's team did on Monday against the Bruins, defeat No. 8 UCLA, 2-1.

With a 9-3-2 overall record and a 2-2-1 Pac-12 record, Washington had a big win last weekend against Arizona State, 2-0. The Huskies remain undefeated at home with a 4-0-1 mark.

The Bruins are 11-0-2 and 4-0-1 in the Pac-12. Last week they defeated Oregon (1-0) and Oregon State (4-1) on the road. The Bruins have top 20 wins this season over Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Pepperdine.

Zakiya Bywaters already has 11 goals for UCLA on the year. Taylor Smith has six and three other players have three each. In goal, two combined goalkeepers have allowed just five goals all season and posted eight shutouts.

In last year's meeting, the Huskies lost a heartbreaker at UCLA, 1-0. The Bruins were also ranked No. 3 at that time. The last win for the Huskies against the Bruins at home was on Oct. 22, 2000, a 1-0 victory in overtime.

Head coach Lesle Gallimore entered the season with 189 wins at Washington since taking over the program in 1994. With nine already in 2012, Gallimore is just two wins shy of 200 as a Husky.

Husky legend Hope Solo will be at Husky Soccer Field on Thursday, Oct. 25 as the UW women host Oregon at 7 p.m. Solo will sign autographs from 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. on the hill inside the gates. She will be signing her new book and the bookstore will be selling her book at the game if you don't already have your copy.

Go Huskies!
