Women's Soccer Home Opener Tonight

SEATTLE – After starting the first two weeks of the season on the road, the Washington women’s soccer team will play its home opener tonight in the Husky/Nike Invitational vs. Syracuse at 7 p.m. at Husky Soccer Stadium. Washington is 2-1 on the season after winning the first two games against Seattle (1-0) and UMass (3-0), before falling 3-0, to Boston University last weekend. The Orange are 1-1-2 and this will be the first-ever meeting between Syracuse and UW. Fans coming out to Husky Soccer Stadium this weekend should be aware of a few special promotions. Everyone that attends Friday’s UW game will receive a coupon for one free admission to Sunday’s game vs. Wisconsin. It’s Soccer Family Friday where families can buy four tickets, four hot dogs and four pops for $25. It is also Camp Reunion Weekend. All junior Husky campers from this summer can get in free to either Husky game this weekend by wearing their camp t-shirt. Game One of the tournament features No. 4 Portland vs. Wisconsin at 4:30 p.m. tonight. The tournament concludes on Sunday with Portland taking on Syracuse at 11 a.m., followed by the Huskies and the Badgers at 1:30 p.m. Fans can follow all of the action on Facebook (Washington Husky Women’s Soccer), Twitter (@UWSportsNews), the Dawg Channel for live audio and video streaming and Cover It Live.
