SEATTLE - Every Monday during the 2010-11 season, Gohuskies.com will name a Husky student-athlete of the week based on the previous week's performance.

Any student-athlete that competed that previous Monday-Sunday is eligible to be nominated and one nominee will be chosen for each sport. A winner will be determined out of that final group.

The first Gohuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week goes to Kellye Joswick of the women's soccer team.

Joswick, a senior from Placentia, Calif., led the Huskies to a 1-0 win on opening night at Seattle U., scoring the game-winning goal in the 78th minute.

She missed all of 2009 after a season-ending ACL tear in the fourth minute of the season-opener vs. Seattle. After working hard in the offseason to get back to the field, she got the start and took a ball from Sarah Martinez to the far post for the goal.

Other nominees include: Daniel Gray (men's soccer).

Go Huskies!
