SEATTLE - Women's soccer senior goalkeeper Kari Davidson (Portland, Ore.) is the first GoHuskies.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2012-13 season. This is her first ever such honor. The women's soccer team was the first UW team to begin the 2012-13 season at Seattle U on Aug. 17. Davidson got the start in goal, playing all 90 minutes and earning the 2-0 shutout. Davidson was outstanding, especially in the second half, making 11 total saves in the game along with the Husky defense. Davidson had eight individual saves and now moves up to sixth alone all-time in school history with 121. She is also fifth with 10 career shutouts. The women's soccer team heads to Colgate on Friday and Syracuse on Sunday.
