Cal Transfer Returns Home To Play At UW

SEATTLE - Soccer standout Kate Bennett will return to her home state to play for Lesle Gallimore's Huskies after playing two years at Pac-12 rival Cal. The Bellevue, Wash., native was one of the top midfielders in the country out of Bellevue High School. At Cal, she played in 39 games, making 12 starts, scoring one goal and tallying five assists. She played on the U-17 and U-18 women's national teams and was in the pool for the U-16 and U-20 teams. While in high school, Bennett was an all-state selection, a two-time all-league selection, a two-time Adidas-ESP All-Star team member, a two-time NSCAA youth All-American and a Parade Magazine All-American and a five-time state champion with Crossfire Premier. |
