Huskies Begin Practice
Aug. 6, 2010
SEATTLE - The Washington women's soccer team reported to camp on Wednesday in preparation for the 2010 season and hit the field Thursday for the first day of practice. The team will have double day practices the first three weeks before the season opener at Seattle University on Aug. 20. Practice began on Thursday at the Dempsey Indoor and afternoon practice was on the game field. Freshman Brianna Sweeney talks about her first two practices in a Husky uniform. "The first few days are going really well," she said. "We have a big freshmen class so it's nice not being alone. It's fun to be playing at a whole new level." Senior McKenna Waitley is entering her final fall camp as a Husky. "I'm feeling good about camp and really excited about the season," Waitley said. "I've been playing all summer preparing for this."
