PORTLAND, Ore. - The 10th-ranked Portland women's soccer team scored two goals inside the final 14 minutes Saturday to defeat Washington 2-0 at Merlo Field.

The Pilots (5-0) won their ninth straight game against Washington (2-3). Portland had an 8-0 shot advantage in a scoreless first half before breaking through at 76:05 on a goal by Regina Holan off a Kylee Barton pass. Tara Koleski converted a penalty kick at 84:34 to cap the scoring.

Sophomore goalkeeper Leslie Weeks posted eight saves for the Huskies who were outshot 17-6. Portland's Cheryl Loveless made two saves en route to the shutout.

Washington returned to Seattle immediately following the game in preparation for Sunday's 1 p.m. meeting with Utah at Husky Soccer Field.
