SEATTLE - The first-ever Meet the GymDawgs event will be held at the Gymnastics Training Facility in Alaska Airlines Arena on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and the GymDawgs are inviting fans of all ages and their families to come out to get to know the team before the season starts in 2013.

This will be a great opportunity for the fans to get to know the team and meet the new freshmen. Fans of all ages are welcome. It is a completely free event in which the gymnasts will perform demonstrations on each event, raffle off prizes and sign posters at the end of the event in the East Court of Alaska Airlines Arena. Fans will be able to ask their favorite gymnasts questions throughout the night.

We encourage everyone that is planning on attending to take public transportation. If you do decide to drive, parking is available in the E1 for a cash only fee. There are parking machines for other spots near and around the University.

"We are so excited to introduce the 2013 team to the public," said head coach Joanne Bowers. "We are getting ready for our Intrasquad meet and the season and it is such a special team I can't wait to share them with everyone."

The arena is located at 3879 Montlake Blvd. NE in Seattle. Once you arrive, please follow the signs and enter through the Southwest entrance next to the Husky Authentic Store (formerly the Husky Team Shop). There is a women's basketball game at home that night starting at 7 p.m. so please make sure you enter through the correct marked door.

Go Huskies!
