SEATTLE - Hey Gym Dawg fans, I hope everyone's summer was as amazing as mine, but it's that time of year again...time to hit the books! This also means it's time for the annual kick off BBQ! This BBQ is held every year and all student-athletes at UDUB come to eat, socialize, and of course watch the volleyball game between the athletes and the coaches. Unfortunately this year the coaches won the match, but we'll get them next year! All of us athletes look forward to this BBQ to see friends we haven't all summer or to meet new freshmen from different teams, and let's be honest my favorite part is at the end when we get our "Go Purple Be Gold" T-shirts and our student-athlete academic planner to keep me organized throughout the year. The kick off BBQ is also meant to get all of us athletes excited about the upcoming academic year, because believe it or not we don't spend all of our time in the gym! ;) We Dym Dawgs take our academics very seriously; we are always working hard inside and outside of the gym! The team had a great time at the BBQ and got some good laughs in watching the volleyball game! It's nice to know that we're all part of something so amazing here at UDUB and have so much support from other teams and coaches. We are all part of one big family! Purple and gold where ever I go cause I'm a HUSKY baby! Hope to see you all at our meets this year..oh and make sure you come support all of the fall sports as well!! GO DAWGS! |
